Frequently Asked Questions

Is the UCS Millennium Falcon worth it?▼
r/legostarwars treats it as the gold-standard adult LEGO experience: 7,541 pieces and 33 inches, the benchmark UCS display set. It is the apex of the line rather than an entry point - but note it is not the price step people expect: the Razor Crest (75331) costs almost the same and is the shorter, easier build of the two flagships. The Mos Eisley Cantina (75290) at $575 is the cheaper way into a large Star Wars display set.
Why do LEGO Star Wars sets cost more per piece than other adult LEGO?▼
Licensing markup. Across the Star Wars sets we cover, cost-per-piece runs 10-12 cents against roughly 5-10 cents for the Icons line. You are paying for the licence, not for extra parts.
Do retired UCS sets hold their value?▼
Historically they have held value well after retirement - the original UCS Falcon (10179, from 2007) is the set collectors point to, and it has traded well above its original retail price for years. We have not verified a specific multiple, and one set's history is not a promise about any current release.
